Utility poles, mast structures and advertising billboards are ubiquitous in the urban environment, yet they serve a purely utilitarian purpose. Their design is not integrated into the architectural context, creating a visual noise effect and diminishing the overall quality of the cityscape.
The project proposes to transform these technogenic verticals into biopositive elements, solving both problems at once: creating safe nesting niches for birds and preventing conflict between people and their “inconvenient neighbours”.
