Description:

The project explores a new model of the Russian countryside. How to make the countryside more futuristic than any big ‘’smart city’’?

There is a multifunctional core in the center of the settlement. The core is a single long building. Inside this building are social and cultural functions: theaters, places of worship, shops, kindergartens, schools, child development centers, and sports clubs. This building is shaped like a big line and resembles the Utopia of Leonidov, who explored the potential of the settlement. There is a street inside the building. She divides the building in half and passes through it. The street begins with a series of active squares. Then it turns into a shopping alley and ends with a series of local spaces at the end of the building. From the multifunctional building, there are squares of various sizes for social events and cultural events.

The building connects the settlement. It is the center of attraction for the settlers. The houses in the settlement are organized in several typologies: large, medium, and small. Each house has a private space - a backyard, where it is possible to hold family holidays. The backyards are linked together in a single social framework, which allows people to move around the village if they wish.
